It looks like a natural waterway that would flood after a heavy rain, Graeme, but is very pretty at this moment.
Graeme Hubbard: There's probably a few boggy bits, Ray. This is limestone country. Very porous, water tends to soak in. The area's famed for the cave systems thus formed and disappearing streams and rivers.
Magnificent countryside once again.

There is something about this landscape that makes me feel at home. The light worked with you (or the other way around smile) for this picture.
Graeme Hubbard: From pictures I've seen of parts of South Africa I can see what you mean. I'd been driving for a couple of miles along the valley side hoping to be able to find somewhere to stop to catch the sweeping light.
So pretty a view! Here, this would be filled with cows.
Graeme Hubbard: Some fine views around the area, Mary. The grazing is pretty marginal so sheep are prevalent.
